Global Aids Exhibits 3D Printed Titanium Hearing Aids at China International Health Expo

Release time:April 2, 2023

On April 1, the 41st China International Rehabilitation Aids Industry and International Well-being Machine Expo hosted by China Association of Rehabilitation Aids opened at Zhumadian International Convention and Exhibition Center in Henan Province. The Expo attracted hundreds of famous enterprises at home and abroad, and tens of thousands of professional visitors.

Ltd., a subsidiary of Beijing SANDI Technology Co., Ltd, brought its self-developed 3D printed titanium alloy in-the-ear hearing aids and other technological recreational products to the exhibition.

According to the World Hearing Report 2021 released by the World Health Organization, there are about 1.5 billion people around the world who are suffering from hearing impairment. According to statistics, there are 72 million hearing impaired people in China, including about 60 million elderly people, but the market coverage of hearing aids is less than 5%. At present, most of the domestic mid- to high-end hearing aid market is monopolized by imported brands, accounting for about 90% of the market share; and most of the local hearing aid companies are difficult to meet the market demand for miniaturized, personalized and intelligent hearing aid products. In addition, most of the hearing aid products in the market are made of UV-cured materials (polymers containing vinyl), which provides a relatively single option and low wearing comfort, while hearing aid products equipped with customized metal shells (e.g., titanium alloy) with better performance have been monopolized by foreign brands for the time being, and the prices are high.

In order to break the monopoly of imported brands, Global Assistive Devices, relying on its parent company's years of experience in 3D printing services, has independently developed the Titanium Tone - 3D printed titanium alloy in-the-ear hearing aids, which can provide hearing impaired people with a full range of customized hearing aids, so that they can enjoy a clearer, more comfortable, invisible, safe and high-end exclusive hearing experience.
Titanium sound-3D printing titanium alloy hearing aids using "3D scanning + 3D modeling + 3D printing" technology process, through the company's self-developed metal 3D printer titanium alloy shell, customized for the ear, with the ultimate wall thickness of 0.15mm, so that wearing more invisible, more comfortable; medical grade titanium alloy material, safe and non-toxic, non-allergenic, non-skin irritation, and 15 times tougher than the traditional resin material, more realistic sound; 12K ultra-wide frequency range, 16-20 channels of effective adjustment, 48-64 frequency band precision. Non-allergenic, non-skin irritating, and 15 times stronger than the traditional resin material, sound more fidelity; 12K ultra-wide frequency range, 16-20 channels of effective adjustment, 48-64 frequency band precision modulation, the third generation of feedback suppression technology, can achieve 360-degree full-area listening experience; in many cities in the country to provide professional fitting, customization services and perfect after-sales service.

At present, Titanium Sound-3D printing titanium alloy in-the-ear hearing aid has obtained two national invention patents, has passed the national calibration verification, and the product performance has reached the international advanced level after testing. The successful development of this product will not only lead the application of 3D printing technology in the domestic hearing aid field to the same level in the world, but also greatly accelerate the development of 3D printing technology in the field of rehabilitation and medical treatment.

As a technological rehabilitation products and services provider, Global Assistive Devices has been plowing into the rehabilitation medical industry for many years, and was wholly acquired by 3D printing leader SANDY Technology in 2013, and began to comprehensively layout the application of 3D printing in rehabilitation medicine. Relying on the parent company's research institute, postdoctoral workstation, engineering and technology team "trinity" of collaborative innovation system, dedicated to "3D printing + rehabilitation health care" R & D and application, the business covers more than one hundred categories of 3D printing hearing aids, orthopedic devices, prosthetic limbs and accessories. The business covers more than 100 categories of 3D printed hearing aids, orthopedic devices, prosthetics and accessories. At present, the company has obtained more than one hundred Class I and Class II rehabilitation medical products for the record, dozens of patents and copyrights, and passed the certification of ISO9001 quality management system and ISO13485 medical device quality management system. The company has led and participated in the formulation of many national and industrial standards for rehabilitation medical care. Our products and services have achieved full coverage of sunshine procurement and centralized purchasing platforms in more than ten provinces across the country. We have also established good cooperative relationships with hospitals, medical institutions, rehabilitation centers, federations of the disabled and other units in many cities in China.

In response to the growing market demand for personalized, intelligent rehabilitation and medical products, Universal Assistive Devices will continue to optimize and improve the product service system, and continue to research and develop more high-tech new products and applications using 3D printing technology and new materials, so that more patients can get personalized and accurate medical services, and promote the development of intelligent rehabilitation and health care for all.
