Longyuan Molding-led 3D Printing Approved for Major Application Demonstration Project in Zhongguancun

In December 2014, the project "Digital Metal Part Forming Machine Based on Selective Laser Melting (SLM) Technology" led by Beijing Longyuan Automatic Forming System Co., Ltd. was approved as "2014 Zhongguancun Industrial Technology Alliance Major Application Demonstration Project", which is also the only project in the approved project in the field of 3D printing. This is also the only project in the field of 3D printing among the approved projects.

  The "2014 Zhongguancun Industrial Technology Alliance Major Application Demonstration Project" is established to implement the "Zhongguancun National Innovation Demonstration Zone Strategic Emerging Industry Cluster Innovation Leadership Project (2013-2015)" and the "Opinions on Accelerating the Cultivation of Big Data Clusters to Promote the Transformation and Upgrading of Industries", and to further promote the innovation and development of industrial clusters in the Demonstration Zone. Recommended by the Powder Metallurgy Technology Innovation Strategy Alliance, the project "Digital Metal Parts Forming Machine Based on Selective Laser Melting (SLM) Technology" led by Longyuan Forming is a project supported by the "641" field. The field includes: six advantageous industry clusters, such as next-generation Internet, mobile Internet and new-generation mobile communications, satellite applications, biology and health, energy conservation and environmental protection, and rail transportation; four potential industry clusters, such as integrated circuits, new materials, high-end equipment and general aviation, and new energy and new energy automobiles; as well as modern service industry clusters.

  As a high-tech enterprise of Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, a high-tech enterprise of Zhongguancun and an innovative enterprise of Haidian District, Longyuan Molding, a subsidiary of SANDY Printing Technology Co., Ltd. is one of the earliest scientific and technological innovation enterprises in China to enter the field of 3D printing research and production, founded in 1993 and registered in Zhongguancun Science and Technology Park.   3D printing technology, also known as additive manufacturing, rapid prototyping, etc., is an advanced manufacturing technology that integrates light/machine/electricity, computer, numerical control and new materials.
